Mechatronics
Mechatronics is a multi-disciplinary study dealing with the integration of mechanical devices, actuators, sensors, electronics, intelligent controllers and computers. The Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Mechatronics program, which is jointly run with Mechanical Engineering Department, is designed to upgrade graduates in the fundamentals, design, analysis and operation of mechatronics systems. The candidature ranges from a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 2 years for full-time study, and a minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 4 years for part-time study.

Master of Technology
Software and Knowledge Engineering
This program is offered by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Institute of Systems Science and the School of Computing in the University. The curriculum emphasises understanding and exploitation of advanced technologies and management disciplines. Targeted at graduates majoring in software and knowledge engineering, it focuses on the practical application of innovative techniques and developing the IT professionals capability for innovation. Offered on a part-time basis, the duration of the program stretches from 2.5 years to 5 years.
