The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering invites applications for 5 Faculty Assistant Professor/Associate Professor positions in Microwave & RF Engineering. Applicants should have a PhD with demonstrated strength in research and a commitment to teaching. Applications are invited in the following areas: 2 in electromagnetic modelling of active and passive devices with special reference to MMIC design, fabrication and characterisation; 2 in EM modelling of large antenna arrays; and 1 in radar including SAR and HF sky-wave propagation. The applicant is also expected to supervise both MSc and PhD graduate students and to demonstrate leadership in the development of a research program.

The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering has a 100-member teaching staff, 730 graduate students, and admits 530 beginning undergraduate students to the B.Eng. (Electrical) program each year. Excellent teaching and research facilities are available. Opportunities exist for collaborative research with other faculty departments, national research institutes, telecommunications organisations, and defense organisations. Substantial research funding is available from the University, Ministry of Education and the National Science and Technology Board.

Starting rank and salary will depend on qualifications and experience. Initial appointment will be on a renewable three-year contract. Successful applicants will be eligible for tenure after serving two contracts. Subsidised accommodation and gratuity on completion of contract is available where applicable.
