| The department offers a part-time and
full-time degree in Master of Science in Mechatronics [M. Sc. (mechatronics)], which is
jointly run with Mechanical Engineering Department. This program is meant to be a graduate
upgrading course in the fundamentals, design, analysis and operation of mechatronics
systems. The period of candidature stretches from a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 2
years for full-time study. For part-time study, the period of candidature stretches from a
minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 4 years. In terms of course structure, candidates are
required to take 4 compulsory core modules, 5 optional modules, and at least 2 foundation
