Biomedical Engineering Laboratory

Facilities are available to support the development of small to medium scale medical expert systems and medical image processing applications. We also cater to requests for the development of state-of-the-art telemedicine applications using ISDN and public switched telecommunications equipment (e.g. remote ECG transmission, video conferencing for patient-physician consultation, and remote X-RAY reporting). The equipment available consists mainly of Unix workstations and Pentium computers, image and document scanners, video image acquisition, CD-ROM and optical drives, and high-speed modems.
